Gov Oyebanji Blows Hot, Warns APC LG Chairmen, Against Entertaining Opponents

Ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has issued a stern warning to ward chairmen and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to host or entertain aspirants opposing his re-election bid in their wards and localities.
The Governor, who also cautioned members of his cabinet against fraternizing with political “highest bidders,” assured that any official found guilty would be exposed and flushed out of his administration.
Oyebanji gave the warning when the Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni Solidarity Group for BAO presented him with the gubernatorial nomination form, which the group purchased on his behalf.
Speaking at the event, the Director General of the EKSU Alumni Solidarity Group for BAO, Engr. Dipo Bamisaye, said the decision to buy the form for the Governor was borne out of his giant strides in governance, which cut across education, health, agriculture, infrastructure, and other critical sectors of the state’s development.
